Send Me To Seattle To Be A Missionary!!!
Hello friends, family, coworkers & other loyal supporters.
I'm thrilled to announce that as of April '14 I have been accepted into the ServeSeattle Program for September 2014 through July of 2015. This is a residential urban missions institute underneath the umbrella organization "Seattle Gospel Union".
Together with other young adults, I'll be living in community for a year; learning about complex social justice issues facing the city & finding ways to address them; growing in my faith through discipleship activities, worship and prayer services, bible study and small groups; & serving in full-time urban ministry internships where I will be meeting the needs of the city & sharing the gospel. (Oh, and of course I will have the incredible opportunity to be in a new environment filled with gorgeous demonstrations of God's creation, a stellar music industry, & so much more- going WAY OUT of my comfort zone!).
I need to RAISE $5000 to cover my food, transportation and housing for the following year I will be residing in Seattle, WA by SEPTEMBER! I can recall those of you who faithfully supported my marathon training fundraiser last year in efforts to raise awareness of Human Sex Trafficking. The donations went above and beyond! Once again, I trust in God's provisions for this new chapter of my life. More than anyone's donations though, I honestly am seeking prayer more than anything especially for my heart to be prepared in advance for God's continual transformation of my heart across the country.
