Support for Sweet Madilynn

Our sweet Madilynn Rose was born April 2nd, 2014 at Levine Children's Hospital. Doctors discovered that Madilynn was missing a small part of Chromosome 22. This chromosomal disorder caused Madilynn to have a heart defect as well as a cleft lip and cleft palate. At 1-week-old Madilynn had her first open heart surgery to correct the interrupted aortic arch. She is now recovering in the pediatric cardiac intensive care unit, under the watchful eye of the wonderful doctors and nurses at Levine Children's Hospital! Within the next year doctors will begin reconstructive surgery to repair Madilynn's cleft lip and palate. Madilynn will also undergo a second open heart surgery when she is 9 to 12 months old. Over the past 21 days Madilynn has proven her strength and has shown us what a fighter she truly is.

The amount of support you all have shown our family has been overwhelming. Some of you have asked how you can help and after much consideration we decided that a fund for Madilynn's medical expenses would help us tremendously. In just a very short period of time, the medical expenses have already started stacking up. We thank you for your support, words of encouragement, and prayers.
