The Goal: A Space That's Ours
We travel for my job, and living out of hotels is expensive and time-consuming with having to unpack and repack every several days. Factor in school time on top of days of drive time between conventions, and it's an exceptional challenge. We are gone for months at a time, so having an apartment somewhere is just not feasible. We're going on a year and a half of...not exactly "homelessness", but whatever you call it, it's wearing to live out of a suitcase, and we miss having our own space. It would make school time easier, and parking in RV parks and campgrounds would further encourage the healthy lifestyle we try to lead.
We'd like a tiny home to call our own, have discovered that many ultralight fiberglass RVs are towable by any vehicle - our beloved Portkey is definitely up for the task! We found what will be perfect is going to cost around $15,000, and with your help with about half, we can definitely meet that goal. Our timeframe is approximately the end of May...just before convention season really takes off.
We humbly ask for your help in getting ourselves a 16'-17' trailer, and promise to pay it forward whenever opportunity presents itself. Even if we do not reach this entire goal, anything will help us get closer to having our own living space, and we are so grateful to all of you in advance.
Regarding Corporate Sponsorship: I drive to and from approximately 45 conventions all over the continental US per year. I logged over 50,000 miles in 2013, and am well on the way toward that for 2014! I will print your image or logo (family-friendly only!) on weather-resistant vinyl, and place it prominently on the trailer. Your product or logo will definitely be seen by millions of people all over the US! Different pricing tiers will get different size logos. We can also give out your product flyers, samples or coupons at these events.
The demographic at these conventions and events includes ages 18-35 on average, with a near-equal mix of male & female attendees. This market is particularly known for its desire to buy the latest and coolest thing: everything from collectibles to electronics to rare imported items. These events reach thousands of people every week, and in my unique position, I deal with most of them personally.
