Send Jared to Italy!

My name is Jared Lesa!  I am a Vocal Performance major at the University of Utah.  This summer I have been given the opportunity of a lifetime: the chance to sing leading roles in two operas for an incredible young artist program! I will perform the roles of Don Perizonio in Cimarosa's 'L'impresario in angustie' and Rambaldo Fernandez in Puccini's 'La Rondine'.  As you can imagine, the chance to sing these parts is a great honor for me.  It's also worth more than I can say.  I will have the opportunity to work with and be coached by some of the foremost instructors/directors/voice teachers in the business!  This personal tutelage is invaluable to my growth as an artist.

As if all of these exciting things pertaining to my greatest passion (singing) weren't enough, this program will take place in Novafeltria, Italy.  That's right!  This whole experience will include the chance to return to the land that won my heart while I lived there for two years as a full time missionary.  There are few things I love more than this place and this people.

The only thing standing in my way is the tuition!  Such a chance to learn and grow is obviously not possible without funding.  The costs, as I've calculated them thus far, will come out to somewhere around $7000 (including the entire program, air fare, housing, etc).  As such, I very humbly ask for your support.  Any donation, no matter how small, will help me learn and prepare to be a better artist, colleague and person.  I am so grateful and humbled by this chance and would love any possible help you'd be willing to provide.
