Wilson Family Fundraiser

Damien Wilson is currently fighting cancer.

 

The Torquay Boardriders Committee are raising funds in support of the Wilson family; Damien, Nicole, Bella and Cylas.

 

Willow is deep into several rounds of chemotherapy, set to run through into 2022.

 

This fundraiser is to help remove the financial burden not only associated with his treatment, but with the income lost through the time required to care for Willow. Obviously he is unable to work full time, but the flow on effect is that with his current condition either Nicole or Bella need to be at home at all times to care for him. This means that neither are able to maintain their usual workloads. Add on top the high quality food he requires, the fuel needed for the constant return Geelong medical trips, parking... the list is endless.

 

The Wilson’s are core to who the Torquay Boardriders are. Willow is our 1989 Club Open Champion, his daughter Bella is a two time club Open Women’s Champion and both have proudly held it down for TBC in Teams Titles over the decades. He’s sponsored the club through BBQ’s Galore forever and the family unit have always volunteered for fundraising initiatives.

 

The Wilson’s have never failed to put their hand up to support and represent our club, They aren't the type of people to put their hands up and ask for help though, so now it is our time to support them through this tough time.

 

Any donation Big or Small will be appreciated with the utmost gratitude from the whole Wilson family.
