Hi my name is Michelle and I'm hoping you can find it in your hearts to help this amazing family. Josh and Marti Randall are the parents of my good friend Jen. Jens parents are loving wonderful people who can never seem to catch a break. Throughout Jen's entire life Josh has had numerous health problems... From a triple hernia to stage IV lung cancer.
Josh was first diagnosed with lung cancer 2007. Due to the treatments and down time from surgery Josh was forced to close his real estate business. In early 2009 Marti suffered from a major stroke, spent months upon months in the hospital. Marti ended up in a wheelchair and will always have a lot of medical problems. Josh has been her sole caregiver since she was sent home. As a result of back to back serious illnesses they lost their home and were forced to move. Near the end of 2012 Josh complained of extreme back pain, he went throughout his day as he normally would, trying to ignore the pain but finally went to the hospital to get it checked out. He was admitted and it took a few days for the doctors to determine his lung cancer was back. This time in his lymph nodes. He's fought a long and hard battle, but the cancer has spread back to the lungs, to the abdomen, liver and brain. He was admitted to the hospital 3 weeks ago with a low platelet count but with the hopes and thoughts by everyone that he would overcome this too with a transfusion. Unfortunately the cancer is taking a toll on Josh and he's loosing his battle with cancer.
Here's where you can help,
Josh nor Marti have life insurance. They also have no savings due to the numerous medical problems they've had over the years. Jen and her siblings are worried sick they won't be able to give Josh the funeral he deserves and that there will be no money to take care of Marti when Josh passes.
