Dara and I will be traveling as a part of a team of people from our local church, Bethel Dallas, to the beautiful nation of Thailand. This trip is a unique and exciting opportunity for us as a couple, and as a church body. We will be partnering with the Every Nation church in Bangkok to establish a lasting connection between our two churches.
During this trip we will serve the Every Nation church in Bangkok to engage with Thai students and other local Thai people to share the gospel, show the love of Christ and establish new relationships and connections with the local church.
In addition to our outreach efforts, we will also spend a great deal of time training, equipping and empowering the local believers in Bangkok so that they can have a greater impact in their communities as individuals and as a church body.
The final purpose of this trip is to establish a foundation for a couple in our church, Wutichai (Don) & Jennilou (Lulu) Plankraiphet, to build upon when they return as missionaries on a more permanent basis. Wutichai, originally from Thailand, met Jennilou while she was serving as a missionary over 10 years ago. God put Thailand in their hearts from the very beginning and together their love for the nation and passion to see God transform lives has only increased.
So, how can you help? It's simple. This trip will cost approximately $3,000 per person, ($6,000 for Dara and I total), which will cover airfare, hotel, food, additional travel within the country and all miscellaneous expenses for the entire two-weeks. We are asking that you prayerfully consider supporting us financially in any amount you are able to give and we will keep you up-to-date on our preparation as we get closer to our departure and share with you what God does during our trip.
Thank you in advance for your generous contribution and if you're not able to give at this time we ask that you lift us and our team up in prayer, both as we prepare to go and while we are there from July 9 to July 23.
