Hi my name is Jean Mcarthur

 and I am raising awareness for HSCT  on behalf of my daughter Mary who has suffered with progressive MS for 15 years. She has lost most of her eyesight and the use of her right leg arm, and along with progressive difficulties with her speech and movement.
Mary is a mother of 3 childrens.

Ever since her diagnosis we have researched every possible treatment with no success, but we refuse to give up and hope that stem cell therapy may be the cure we have been searching for all these years. Unfortunately, being a controversial treatment of any condition it is not available in Australia and she will need to travel overseas with someone to care for her during her treatment as she cannot travel on her own.

Any donation, big or small, will go toward this treatment in the hope that Mary can get some of her quality of life back. Even if she doesn't get back what had been taken from her by this disease, just to no longer watch as she slowly degenerates at only 44 would be a blessing to herself, her children and the rest of our family. Despite all the disappointments she has had, Mary never loses hope and neither do my grandchildren, and she is an inspiration to our entire family.

What We Need & What You Get

We would need about $60.000 This will cover her and her daughter's travel expenses to Moscow where she can receive full HSCT treatment. Here is a link for more information on HSCT treatment, the doctors and sufferers who have gone through this radical new treatment.

We are a proud and independent family who do not ask for money lightly, but this is our daughter and the hope that it can bring her more quality of life. It would mean so much to Mary to be able to accomplish small tasks like grocery shopping, reading, even going on to the computer without the constant help of someone else. We just want her to be able to see her children at their weddings, to hold her future grandchildren, to see their smiles and their first steps. These are the little things that make life so much more meaningful.
