Kidney transplant

Donation protected
A construction worker by profession, I was diagnosed with severe hypertension from the year 2000, when I was 20 years old. I had been to doctor after doctor in my home country of Dominica, and I had been having major challenges in keeping my blood pressure under control. I had always been questioning why this was so, as I did not eat salty foods, I was not overweight, I regularly exercised, and I lived a very active lifestyle. Knowing that blood pressure is a disease of lifestyle, it baffled me for a while, but my doctors just kept placing me on medications, and more medications, without an explanation. Eventually, this uncontrolled condition started to compromise my kidney function. I felt helpless, because I still could not control the elevated pressures, and on numerous occasions was admitted to hospital, and discharged with continued elevated pressures, and still not receiving answers from my doctors. My kidneys started to deteriorate, an inevitable complication of uncontrolled high blood pressure.
In 2013, God ordained it that I was selected to represent my church in Barbados at a conference, and I decided to take the opportunity to seek a second opinion while there. Searching online, I found a nephrologist or kidney specialist, a specialty that is not available in Dominica, and within one consultation, he diagnosed me with Conns Disease, a rare illness caused by a dysfunction in the adrenal glands, found in only 1% of patients with hypertension. He introduced me to the drug spironolactone, and from then I was able to keep my blood pressures under control. Alas, it was too late for my kidneys, which were damaged beyond repair, and I was diagnosed with end-stage renal disease (ESRD). My nephrologist connected with physicians and surgeons in Trinidad, and recommended that the only way out of this dreadful situation was a kidney transplant, a procedure which costs US $75,000. Through God’s favor, we have been able to source a donor, and are doing final tests to confirm compatibility. Being the sole provider for my family of 6, coupled with numerous years of support to my ill mother and hence depletion of savings, this sum of money is presently unattainable by efforts of myself and my family. I am therefore soliciting your assistance in making this transplant a reality, as I seek to continue taking care of my family and making a difference in my community and country at large. I will be forever grateful for any contribution which you can offer. I wish you God’s blessings, and thank you for your support.
Miss Adaiah Duncan is a family friend and is instrumental in this go fund me drive ,she is in the U.S and is in the position to transfer the funds donated via bank transfer and sometimes western union.
Update: the kidney transplant procedure is scheduled for next month, March 12th 2019 in the island of Trinidad,I am grateful for the support thus far and I would just like to make a final appeal for assistance as  the time is right upon us. God's continued blessings
