Donations For Cancer Patient

Hey everyone, I recently was talking to a closer friend of mine about some struggles that he and his family have been having. His wife has recently started to battle cancer by undergoing surgery and is about to start the next phase of her treatment in October. Doctors plan to have her undergo Chemotherapy as well as radiation for a 6 week duration. The family lives almost an hour and a half away from Kingston, where the treatment will take place. They have found a hotel for her to stay at which is close to the hospital, and was able to get a rate of $25/ night for the 6 weeks. She will also need to pay her food and travel expenses to get to the hospital and back to her room which will at the very least be another $25 each day. The family is a single income home and her husband will be working during the day and coming home to tend to their young child. He can’t work overtime to accommodate the added expenses as he needs to be home with his child and going to Kingston to see his wife. Her expenses for this duration just for lodging and food will be about $1500 based on $50/day 5 days a week for 6 weeks. and that’s not including the trips back and forth on weekends and time off that he will have to take to be there for her. He has stressed to me how difficult the whole experience has been so far both physically and mentally. These people are extremely kind and caring and not once have I heard him ask anyone for help. He is a strong member in his community and volunteers coaching in both baseball and hockey for youth in the area. I am not going to share a picture of them or post their names as I feel it’s a private matter. I am posting this in hopes of being able to raise any amount of money to help ease this experience in which I know many people have gone through, seen others go through or heard about.
