Zombie Adoption Centre

Donation protected
Hi there,

My name is Louie Parsons, But a lot of people call my Sully. I'm a final year film production student at Staffordshire University who is about to embark on his last ever student film. (You can check out my previous projects here: https://vimeo.com/user23422178

The Concept:

For my final project I would love to go all out and make a zombie film, but not just any zombie film. This isn't  a typical survivor story about several people wondering the wastelands and trying their hardest to not be eaten alive by the un-dead. This is going to be about a Zombie Adoption Agency. A mockumentary style film about the Agency owner Geroge and his passion for finding the un-dead a new home. Afterall, zombies need love too!

"Where is my money going to go?"

A huge part of the project lies within the special effects make up and costume department. Funds will be going towards items such as latex, wax, scar wax, rigid collodion, gallons and gallons of fakes blood, prosthetics, moulds, top of the line skin pallets , clay, sculpting kits the list goes on and on! Along with the make up, we will also be including costume bits and pieces like nurses uniforms, janitor overalls,

Your money will also go to catering for everyone on set during the shoot days. With a cast of several extras, including the actor playing George and the whole crew, it can become quite a feat to feed that many mouths on a small budget! I personally want to make sure everyone is well fed, watered and are as comfortable as possible during the filming process.

Along with Make Up, Costume and Catering your money will also be going towards funding for the location of the shoot and travel expenses for extras and actors to get to location for auditions, script readings and the actual shoot day.

Finally, 5% of the total raised will be going to Cancer Research UK.

"When will the project be completed?"

I'm looking to shoot this film on the 9th and 10th of April this year. With the whole of April being our shoot month, this time frame will give me a great chance to do several make up tests, develop my script and of course cast actors. The film, once shot, will be colour graded, edited, and developed over the next few weeks and will be completed by the 12/05/16. That is our deadline date to hand in our student films. So, no matter what happens, the film WILL be completed and WILL be posted online.

"What equipment is going to be used?"

At Staffordhsire University we have a plethora of equiptment to choose from. For this project, I will be using an EOS Cannon C500 ( an industry grade camera),  along with several industry standard LED and lighting kits to make the project look as well lit and profesional as it could possibly be. The entire project will be edited on Preimiere Pro and colour graded on davinci resolve to ensure the quality of the image so that we can really see all the guts n' gore from the lovely Zombies.

Thank you so much for your time, even if you haven't donated, it means the absolute world that you took time out of your busy schedule to look over this project and hear about my idea. If you did donate, I can't thank you enough for the opportunity you have contributed towards. I will post updates (if there is a way to do it on this site?) about pre and post production (script development, make up shots, costume making ect.

Once again, thank you for your time, and have an amazing day and expect updates from the project ASAP

All the best,

Louie 'Sully' Parsons
