The reason for traveling to the Middle East this summer is simply because people are hurting. The cause for this hurt is a gruesome civil war that has overtaken the country of Syria and over 9 million people have been forced out of their homes.
My team will be there for five to six weeks helping aid the people's pain. To listen to their stories, cry with them over cups of coffee, laugh with them over Arabic pastries, and to help bring hope in any way possible. Just by being physically present, it reminds them people actually care.

-The cost of the trip
-Small toys for children
-Food supplies
-Books, pens, and paper for the refugees
-Any miscellaneous needs the people may have
