Letter From Adam: On Saturday, April 5, all four of my dogs got into a battle that lasted a good ten minutes. I was finally able to break them up but was bitten pretty bad in the process, and at the end of it my body was so overexerted from the trauma, adrenaline, and energy spent that I virtually collapsed. I went to the ER afterwards to get some shots and treatment and then returned home. Over the next 48 hours I tried to ride out the recovery but my body did not respond and I could not hold down any food or liquids. Monday morning I returned to the ER, they ran some blood tests and found my kidneys to be failing and admitted me into the hospital. The next week was very brutal but I am happy to say that my body is recovering now on its own and the testing has shown that it wasn't anything preexisting, but rather a combination of the trauma from the dog fight, tetanus shot, antibiotics, dehydration, etc. I truly appreciate all of your thoughts, support, and prayers.

I thought that I didn't need health insurance yet, like many do ...  I am only 32 and the money spent on insurance seemed better used tapping away at debt but boy was I wrong, anything can happen and I thank God that I am alive and going to be okay. Money can always be made and it will take time but I wil get through this. Any help is appreciated, we are using the money donated here for medical bills. Thank You for your support.
