Hello All,

My name is Edward Huggins Jr. I am 26 years old and I am a full-time Cosmetology student at Paul Mitchell The School. During the initial COVID outbreak, I lost my position at my place of employment due to the nationwide shutdown. That particular situation encouraged me to start pursuing my life-long dream of becoming a Professional as I call it “Beautyologist.” I began my journey at Paul Mitchell on August 3rd, 2020. So far, I have had the most memorable and amazing experiences. I have met so many beautiful people during my journey so far. As you may know, us cosmetology students have very high expectation when it comes to time management and education. I attend school Monday through Friday from 9:00am to 4:30pm. Sometimes it can be very difficult to work and attend school full-time all at once. Right now, I know that times are tough for everyone financially. I happen to be one of those. I have however gotten over that bump in the road and was just hired on for a part-time cashier position. However, I have ran into a very tough dilemma. Before the start of school, I was very consistent with keeping up on my car note every month. Since I have become a full-time student it has been very very rough and quite challenges to solely focus on my education and maintain the costs of my vehicle. On this past Thursday November 19th, my vehicle was repossessed due to my falling behind on payments during school. My goal is to possibly come up with the money before my vehicle is auctioned off. It is scheduled to be auctioned on Wednesday, November 25th. I was informed by one of the Tow Company employees that due to the holidays, the auction may be post-poned. However, it is not a guaranteed that will be the case. My hopes are high that I may be able to avoid losing my vehicle. My vehicle has played a major role in the success of my education. She is one of my greatest assets. With my recent efforts to extend my hand for help from my own family, I have not had much luck at all. So far, I was able to come up with $400 of the nearly $2000 that I will have to pay in order to have my vehicle released back into my possession. As of today, I owe exactly $2,081.90. They are allowing me to have my vehicle returned into my possession if I am able to come up with a reduced amount of $1510, however, this is a daily quote that is subject to change as the days progress. The current circumstances of this situation has given me no other option but to attempt and extend my hand out to a more broad set of people. I am genuinely asking from the depths of my heart, if anyone is able to help with anything; it would mean so much more than the world to me. Anything helps! God bless you All and I hope and pray that you find it in your hearts to support my cause. Thank you so much from the bottom of my heart.

Sincerely,
A struggling college student
