Cleats For Needy Feets

For the past 3.5 years, I've been volunteering with Boys and Girls Club of Metro Denver, an organization that supports 15 clubs across Denver and the suburbs and serves more than 2,000 members each day. Recently, I began donating my time to a new club in the neighborhood where I grew up, the Jack A. Vickers Boys and Girls Club, and currently coach a boy's 9-13 year old soccer team. While the club has done an incredible job providing jerseys, shinguards, and socks for all that participate, the athletics department's budget did not allow for us to provide soccer cleats for our kids this year.

I'm hoping that with your participation and help, we can raise enough funds to purchase soccer cleats for both the boys and girls teams this year, and establish an account for the future. At the moment, both the boys and the girls teams have 14 players, and we estimate that a pair of cleats costs approximately $35-45 depending on the kids shoe size. Any residual donations will be deposited in an account for purchase of future equipment.
