Movin On Up is a campaign designed to raise money for a Boutique talent agency that represents talent from around the globe.
From its inception in 1989 when others in Entertainment Industry refused to mention "Diversity" in casting publicly, this Agency included Diversity in representation and in Casting, in its Mission Statement. We submitted Actors with a multi racial identities to Casting Directors every opportunity possible. We have ethnic Actors on a roster that did not work for years. They spent their time training and going to auditions hoping for the Entertainment Industries paradigm to shift to the pardigm that Beverly Agency had embraced from the start.
Here at beverly agency we have witnessed a major shift in Casting the past two years. Our paradigm was always let's celebrates all races and those with disabilities. It's refreshing to wirness the changes. Only now are our Actors of color seeing the fruits of their labor when it comes to bookings. In short, the Agency never gave up on the Actors and vice versa.
Additionally, we are a "Conscious" company. A company committed to not only developing "Diverse" emerging talent but also , a company Conscious, as it, relates to the well being of communities around us that are in distress. Currently, our company President is working on a proposal for transitional housing for the Homeless in South Los Angeles.
The proceeds from this campaign will be used to relocate to larger offices, hire additional staffing in order to increase our presence in the US and abroad increasing our commitment to building a great diverse Talent pool, to invest additional funding into attracting diverse emerging talent in person as well as social media, to upgrade office equipment, educating our staff and some to our Homeless project!
We are set to move in 60 days therefore funds are needed within the next 60 days.
We appreciate all donations large and small. We consider all of our donators as our guardian Angels.
We developed this campaign two years ago and pulled it soon after due to the owners health concerns. With health issues behind us our focus is increasing our talent base, the move, our companys President commitment to increasing our diverse talent pool. With that being said, we would appreciate your generous donations greatly. In fact, we can not thank you enough. "Thank you" for your generous support!
