Wheelchair Bike for Vivienne

Vivienne is a spirited, smart, funny and bautiful little girl who was diagnosed with SMA - Spinal Muscular Atrophy Type 2 in 2012. Vivienne is the most gentle, loving and giving person with the most beautiful soul. She always puts others first.

For her BIRTHDAY we created this GofundMe page in order to purchase the van Raam wheelchair bike. This Bike will give her the opportunity to experience many years (it'll grow with her) of outdoor fun enjoying bike trips with her family AND friends.
The older she gets the more she experiences the pain of being left behind by her peers or not being able to participate in many activities her peers have access to. Vivienne cannot walk and has overall low muscle tone, thus she is very limited in the activities she can participate in.
Going on bike trips with my family is one of my favorite memories from my childhood - as it is for many people. Being able to walk, access your environment and participate in every day life activities many of us take for granted - understandably.
The first time we installed small ramps on both side of a step dividing the living room from the dining and kitchen area of our house, Vivienne exclaimed with overwhelming joy:
" Mommy, Daddy, you built a BRIDGE for me?"
She was 2 1/2 at that time and just got her powered wheelchair. We sat her in her chair and she started spinning in a circle saying happily "Vivienne is so happy now". Next she aimed for the ramp and step which limited her to only one area in the house and she flew over the obstacle in full speed. She continued going back and forth taking in the experience of expanded FREEDOM.

The bike configured to her needs will result in $ 12.000 + shipping costs. It will grow with her as the seat can be adjusted to children and adults. The bike will have an elektro motor which can assist in hilly areas and the wheelchair can be detached when reaching the destination.
