Julie's Journey

Donation protected
To work in the ambulance service requires a special kind of person, someone who is dedicated, caring and willing to help those in need. Julie works as an Emergency Care Assistant and not only looks after all the patients she meets but also her colleagues. She is always providing hugs and cups of tea, with a massive smile and cheerful personality.

Julie met her partner in the ambulance service and they were happily married this summer. Unfortunately just a few days after Julie was given the devastating new that she has Pancreatic Cancer. After seeing her specialist in London, Julie was her determined and optimistic self but understood the battle she had infront of her. Chemotherapy has commenced but due to the position of the tumor an operation would be extremely risky, requiring specialist surgery. With Julie living in Cornwall, and the specialist in London the expenses for travel will soon add up adding extra stress.

Anything that can be raised to help alleviate that stress and allow Julie to focus on fighting this and getting better would be gratefully received. There is also a possibility of other treatment options not on the NHS, so anything towards getting our friend and colleague back to doing what she does so well would mean so much to all her family, friends and all that know her.
