CHRISTMAS FOR BOYS

Donation protected
Hi everyone! I'll get right to the point. I provide therapy every week for 12 boys (ages 12 to 18) who live in group homes and have no support.....I mean none. They are either in DSS custody, foster care, or both and have no one to care for them including their basic needs. Forget the fancy stuff, I'm talking socks, underwear, chap stick, soap,  and deodorant. They all attend Woodlawn Middle or Eastern Alamance High School and do their darnedest to fit in like, as they say, "the other normal kids." Usually a church comes forward and sponsors them yet this year, I just found out that no one did.

I have never done this before, yet thought "what do I have to loose?" If you are interested in making a difference for my group home boys, please donate. I already have their sizes, preferences and can go speed shopping to make it happen. I actually took last year's "need" list and priced it for 12. Nothing fancy, just basic stuff that's not from the dollar store for once.  I have an Amazon shopping cart of basic needs that my own 17 year old helped me with to make sure it's all still "cool." That's how I chose the dollar amount too.

If I am blessed enough to go over the amount, I plan to get them much wanted 5 dollar MP3 players with cheap headphones. That right there is pure gold in a group home!

Ok village, enough said. Thank you for taking the time to read this and consider making a difference. May you have the very best holiday season ever!!

Love and peace,

Christine Morrison
