Anneke lives in Belgium and has Scaleraderma, she had numerous surgeries over the years She lives alone with her dog and cat. When she goes into the hospital or is to sick to walk her dog the animals must be boarded This makes her lonlier . Her daily life is one of pure survival she must do everything for herself her friends live far from her so often it's hard to visit . I met Anneke online in 2008 She is a big Bruce Springsteen n music fan. Music saves her. 

Anneke visited me last year for 3 weeks.we could not do to mych as she was not well. We spoke a lot about her surgeries n her life. She luves on a tight budget. Her many friends here in NJ n other parts of US took her out or had her for day stays. She calls her visits THE HUG TOUR  . All she asks for are hugs n sharing time n talk . It was hard to see her go home knowing her illness n her being alone. She spends holidays alone also. This friend I have come to love has little joy
  Anneke had breast cancer lump removed n then her scaleraderma flared up n more stomach surgery colon surgery was needed She been in the hospital a long time. Friends fro Belguim have gone to see her and have let us know how gravely ill she has been.A virtual hug tour with photos was started  with messages n photos n cards sent to the hospital. I am hoping to raise a little money as a safety net when she finally can return home. Some money to even get help to shop for food or send laundry out . I know times are hard for people. No donation is too small. Please open your heart for this brave loving person. She always has a smile n hug when we need it . We can't change her illness or it's course but perhaps we can take a little pressure off of her. I thank you from the bottom of my heart for your help.
