Infertility Hats and Journey

In 2004 I was diagnosed with PCOS. PolyCystic Ovarian Syndrome. I was 18 years old and honestly it had no affect on me. I was too young to think about what it would mean for having children. It's now 2014. I'm 28, married for almost 2 years and have been trying for my first blessing for about 4 years now. It's the most terrible feeling in the world knowing your body can't and won't do what it was meant to do. Vaughn and I are in the early stages of infertility treatment and seeing doctors. Unfortunately in the state of Michigan, infertility coverage is not mandated and everything comes out of pocket. To make some extra money for this I have opened my own etsy store and filled it with hand crocheted items. A wonderful talent and skill I learned from my late Grandmother Pat. It's a true passion of mine and I love it. A few years ago I joined a wonderful and beautiful community of ladies fighting the same battle that I am. I have watched these beautiful women start their infertility journey, spend their hard earned money and struggle everyday. Tears and heartache and finally a miracle!! A BFP=Big Fat Positive! I decided I wanted to give back and I started crocheting newborn beanies for these amazing lucky ladies who finally beat infertility. I've been doing it for almost a year now. I've spent over $1000 in yarn, time, and shipping gladly an willingly. Ultimately I would like to also make preemie hats and blankets for nicu babies at local hospitals as well. But now I want to focus on saving money for my own miracle baby. So I have decided to start a donation page for newborn hats! All donations go towards the cost of supplies for newborn hats and the remaining is being used for my fertility journey. Everything donated is highly appreciated more than you know and anything left over after my miracle baby will be forwarded on to someone else struggling with infertility. It's a long hard road and I'm ready and willing and would love your help. Thank you from the bottom of my heart.
