Jennifer gave birth to Sawyer on July 14th. Since then she hasn't felt good and her abominal pain has been getting increasingly worse. After multiple trips to the local hospital resulting in misdiagnosis and an appendectomy that might not have been neccessary, there was no relief. Later, after an ambulance trip to the local hospital and multiple ct scans, they still had no answers and transferred her by another ambulance to United Hospital. An mri and lots of blood work later a team of doctors were still at a loss for a culprit. The pain is incredible, she is light headed and dizzy, her temp has spiked and they have diagnosed her as septic. They have finally started a course of treatment to pursue as they have discovered a severe infection surrounding her organs that possibly started with childbirth.
Sawyer and Jennifer have been apart for weeks now because of hospital stays and ER visits. We have an awesome network of family and friends who have all been helping out and are very thankful for them, but we need to get Jennifer home so she can be with her sweet boy finally.
We, her aunts, are looking to provide relief from the astronomical medical bills, time missed from work, and childcare costs. Jennifer will, most likely, be unable to return to work for a few weeks yet and the financial strain is growing daily.
Anything you are able to give is greatly appreciated and will be used toward the above goals. We thank you in advance for your kindness and generosity.
