Dale's Action Track Chair

As many probably know, Dale Stephens had a mountain biking accident on February 10, 2012. His neck was broken and it severely damaged his spinal cord leaving him paralyzed from the chest down and confined to a wheelchair. For those who may know about spinal cord injuries, Dale's injury level is a C7 complete. Needless to say the accident was life changing for Dale and his wife Karen and for their families. Dale loves living and playing in the mountains. His hobbies included hiking, golf, hunting, motorcycles, bicycling and working around the house.
Unfortunately, his injury does not allow him to do any of those things any longer. Dale has a great attitude though and works very hard at his recovery. When we were all together in Alabama celebrating Christmas, we surprised Dale by announcing that we wanted to do something special for him by starting a fundraising effort to purchase an Action Track all terrain wheelchair. These battery operated chairs are very well built and will go just about anywhere. Dale could go places and do things in the outdoors that he would never be able to do otherwise. The cost of the chair with the accessories and fees is around $14,000.00. Due to the popularity of this chair being purchased for many of our wounded veterans, there is currently a 4-month waiting period once the chair is ordered.

Since Dale's accident many of us have wanted to do something to assist him and Karen. This is now an opportunity to help them.
