Stop Bullying Now is a public service announcement campaign with a key difference, an initiative founded by Christopher Boyd from Glass Media Group on the Gold Coast, Australia. We discovered that there is was potentially a large problem with effective communication around key issues facing the community and bullying and that as content producers Glass Media Group could help. As there had been little or no visual content created in this form to help in the fight against bullying, the original concept was to produce a series of local community service announcements to be aired on television, highlighting and drawing awareness to the serious bullying problems in schools in the community.

Realizing the enormity of the subject matter, we decided to get vital input from sources much closer to the issue in the community. A partnership was formed with TAFE Gold Coast and the screen and media students attending the Coomera campus who wrote and co-produced the initial series of Community Service Announcements for the campaign. In 2017 the Pimpama State High School also came on board, with their outstanding drama students, and one of the teachers, featuring as the cast in the commercials. Two of the commercials were filmed on location at the school. This is an inspiring story of how these talented creative youth within the community have been given a huge platform to illustrate their views on the subject of bullying and how to help in the fight against it, which has subsequently gone on to shine a light on the issue aiding in awareness-particularly from the youth's perspective.




We need funding help with Production and Post-Production costs, Stamp Out Bullying was completely funded by Glass Media Group in 2017 so far no government or other community financial assistance has come to light so we are funding it again in 2018-2019. However the size of the project this year means we need financial resources to make the project a success.

Most importantly we need to reduce the incidents of bullying taking place in our schools and online, both here and around the world. We need to help in trying to prevent further tragedies. We need help in reducing mental health issues caused by bullying. We need help to try to prevent ongoing social and economic issues caused by bullying.

The money will help pay for production resources including administration crew fees, catering and location costs, wardrobe, production design, post production and the launch event.
