Help a Hero. Chief Debbie Fahlman

Please meet and help a real live HERO. Fire Chief [Retired ] Debbie Fahlman is dying and fighting to save her own life. It is such a sad commentary of our world that someone that spent thier whole career risking thier life for complete strangers, now struggles to save her own but can't afford the fight. Chief Fahlman retired from Pasco County Fire Rescue after being diagnosed with the dehibilatating disease MS. Not only was Chief Fahlman a pioneer in women breaking the male sterotype of Firefighting but also risked her life flying for CareFlight as a 911 responding Trauma Helicopter Paramedic. I remember so well one of the last calls her and I worked together. Her MS was in full bloom. I responded to a roll over on a major highway. I was the only Rescue on the scene and as I attempted to Triage the wounded, call for more help and start treating the injuried, Chief Fahlman rolled up . By now, Debbie was using a cane to walk but refusing to quit. With no reguard for her pain or medical condition she started doing what her and I had done so many times in the past. She started treating and saving lives. Chief Fahlman retired shortly after that last call. In spite of her life long comitment to her fellow man, the medical insurance we retired heros end up with can be very exspensive and limited in its coverage. It didn't get better for Debbie. It got worse. Not only did she battle the life taking condition of MS but then got cancer. She is dying and fighting for the very life she used up saving others. She can not afford the treatments. She can not afford the medicines. She can not afford the co-pays for the tests.This real life hero needs help. Please pray and let God lead you. Help me help Chief Fhalman.
