Ghana Orphanage Volunteering

Hello all,
As many of you are aware, I have a deep passion for travelling the world. The next adventure I plan to embark on is slightly different. In May, I will be heading to Africa, more specifically-Ghana, to volunteer in orphanages. I am very excited for this experience and can't wait to share my love, dedication and help to serving others with the children of Ghana.
When: May 15th - June 30th
Where: Greater Accra region of Ghana
What: Volunteer work in orphanages
I have been able to fund the major expenses (flight, vaccinations, program fee) on my own and through the generousity of my parents. Currently, I am looking to raise money to purchase items that will go directly to the children in the orphanges for money to go towards groceries. This includes a variety of items ranging from arts and craft materials to clothing. My goal of $1,000 will allow me to not only purchase lots of necessities but also the relief of ensuring food is able to be provided. This is sure to provide aid for the children but would also contribute to and have a positive impact on the Ghanaian economy when buying food from their own markets.
