AnnE's Story-
Ann Elizabeth Lentz (known as AnnE), a 31 yr. resident of Sarasota, FL, has become an inspiration to all who know & love her! Recently, at 58 years young, she was diagnosed with severe throat cancer and within a few days, had her larynx removed. She lost the use of her voice forever and was forced to end the only career she's known. Her face could be recognized at the infamous Mustard's Last Stand, and some of Sarasota's finest restaurants including Ophelia's, Zoria's, Clayton's and most recently at Michael's on East. Always positive, AnnE has been amazing through her recovery and championed her way through radiation.
Moving Forward-
After her surgery, AnnE found out her insurance had dropped her and was not going to pay for the medical expenses. That coupled with not being able to work throughout her recovery has made AnnE's financial stability a struggle.
In an effort to help AnnE through this difficult time, we are holding a fundraising event at The Gator Club in Sarasota. With friends, family and community we hope to raise enough money to assist with the current and future financial burdens she will face throughout her recovery.

TICKETS: $20 and include 2 drink tickets for beer & wine, food & entertainment

Bright Future-
AnnE has always made her living in the hospitality industry & leaves an imprint on many patrons, local and tourists. She's been an avid friend & supporter of Mote Marine Laboratories which researches & supports local & global oceanic causes. With continuing education we hope she can secure a job within the marine life industry, working to rehabilitate sea life as the ocean and its creatures are her passion. We joke that she may have been a mermaid in her previous life. We know AnnE will continue giving back to the community and its causes in the very near future.
