Hi, my name is Denise Frederick and I have a form of Vasculitis called Wegener's Granulomatosis (GPA). This is listed as a rare diease and can attack virtually any site in the body. That is one reason I did not seek treatment right away all my symtoms where so far fetched, I thought the doctors would think I was for sure crazy with some of this odd stuff happening. I have eye, ear, sinus, lung, trachea, joints, nerves and kidney involement. over the last 3 years I have underwent numerous surgeries to fix issues caused by the WG. I was also diagnosed with kidney cancer in 2013 and underwent surgery for that. I see a great team of doctors but being out of work for 2 years has taken a financial toll on being able to pay for the medical treatment I need. I have a upcoming visit to Johns Hopkins to my main doctor, plus I have infusions that I need to start back on and I need another trachea dialation. These infusions are very expensive and nothing else has helped so far and I keep getting more sick. Bless you if you feel the need to donate and if not Thank you for reading my story and feel free to share it with others, more awareness needs made about this horrible disease that has robbed me of so much. This money will only be used for medical purposes and I am willing to show reciepts at anytime. Just wanted to add a note July of 2014 I was also told I have Mysathenia Gravis which effects your muscles including your eyes I do not drive cause my sight is so bad but I was told I also have ocular hypertension. don't know how much more I can handle all these conditions have been proven with test and biopsies.
