my name is audrie stanka, i am a 14 year old up and coming event rider. i have been in a steady program with warrington eventing since age 11, i am currently competing on my horse warren at training level. i took this horse to his third ever event, to his first novice, and together we tackled our first training level last summer at the maryland horse trials ii. we were fourth in the competitive junior training. from loch moy we went to millbrook as our second training and earned ourselves a respective sixth place, in a very large and competitive division. our team shows more promise for a competitive future each and everyday. i have shown interest in international competition since as early as i can remember. the olympics have always been my dream, as well as the legendary burghley, badminton, and any other four star competition. any international team would just be a joy to make. i hope to take warren as far as he can go. at the moment he is showing no limit! i am hoping to qualify for the area v young rider one star team sooner rather than later. this summer i will be competing in the junior training level and hope to qualify for the american eventing championships in the fall. by the end of next year i would like to move up to the preliminary level. and from there qualify for my first one star. a trip to maryland this summer is an essential part of my training schedule. spending time training last summer improved my riding by leaps and bounds. this trip would include my working with danny warrington everyday, learning how to run and work in an olympic level barn, and i would allow me to compete at one of the largest most prestigious venues in the us. it is important to be on the east coast during this time because it is a whole different world. the east coast in the summer is the epitome of eventing. and a time has come in my career that it is vital to compete and train on the east coast. this will only become more necessary. i am focused on the best foundation possible. as you can imagine to accomplish these dreams financial support is just as important as skill and drive. for my trip i will need to raise $5000 dollars. this sum includes board for my horse, board for me, training, traveling, and show expenses. any support great or small is greatly appreciated.
