Pensacola Fallen Firefighter Mem.
Donation protected
The Pensacola United Fire Fighters Association, Inc. is beginning an ambitious fundraising effort to seek donations of cash, materials, or volunteer services to help bring the first ever Fallen Firefighters’ Memorial to the heart of Pensacola,Fl. In 2010, PUFFA successfully initiated an effort to rename a multimillion dollar wing of the newly built downtown library in honor of City of Pensacola fallen firefighter, Marvin Maurice Bartholomew. In that same decision, PUFFA successfully secured land at Pensacola Library to construct the first ever memorial dedicated to all fallen Escambia county firefighters. It was also agreed upon that a prominent area within the atrium of the library would be dedicated for the construction of a Police and Firefighters memorial.
Recently, PUFFA was finally granted 501(c) 3 federal tax exempt status as described under the Internal Revenue Code of the IRS. Not only did we want to raise money for this very important project, but we wanted to make sure donors could write their gifts off as a charitable donation. The Fallen Firefighters’ Memorial costs are estimated to be around $150,000.00 to complete.
Thank you for your interest in considering a donation to this very important project. If you have any questions or concerns about the Fallen Firefighters’ Memorial please don’t hesitate to contact Curtis Beasley: Pensacola United Firefighter Association.
