Dear family & friends:
I wanted to let you know that plans have changed slightly and I'm so excited about the changes! Instead of Perth, I'll be doing my DTS in Capetown South Africa. And instead of October through March, we'll be going from September through February.
And, I'm so excited to say, my cousin Haleigh Souza will be joining me!!
One of the benefits of this is that the cost is $3000 less than YWAM Perth, so I'm closer to my goal than I thought!
The DTS is split into two different phases - the first is the lecture phase and it is during this time that we go through an intensive training process. After that, is the outreach phase where we take everything we've learned from the lecture phase and apply it during a 2 month long missions trip. We could go to Ghana, Thailand, China, or India, just to name a few options.
It would be wonderful if you would keep this ministry and me in your thoughts & prayers, because I cannot do this alone! I have gotten to the place I am today because many wonderful people like you have prayed for and supported me. You have been a huge blessing! In addition to needing prayer support, I am also in need of financial support. The 6 month program, including all travel, travel documents, tuition for DTS, and outreach, is going to cost approximately $7,500, depending on our outreach location. I am currently trying to find a job, and we will be having garage sales, bake sales, fundraising Bunco nights and dinners, but this won't cover it all.
Please don't feel obligated to give, but if you are able to help, with a one-time donation or monthly support for the next 6 months, the best way to do so is by sending a check directly to me. I've raised enough to cover my airfare and DTS fees. The only thing remaining is the $2000 cost of outreach. I'm so anxious to find out where we're going! I'll definitely keep you posted.
