My name is Trevor Maxwell. I am a 52 year old man, residing in Miami, Florida. Last year August I was diagnosed with liver cancer and ws happy to have the cancerous tumor and a large portion of my liver removed in October 2013. In November 2013, however, the cancer returned, now in my portal vein.

This is where things rapidly went downhill. During the time that I was hospitalized, my companys Annual Medical Open Enrollment Period came and went and, since I was in the hospital I was unable to complete the required forms by the Insurance Companys deadline. I was therefore automatically enrolled in a plan that had a very high deductible, while my original plan had none.

The aggressive medical care has forced me to stop working. According to the plan, my Insurance Provider will pay 100% of my medical bills when I pay $4,500 out-of- pocket & $12,000 of my deductible. This has resulted in a debt of $16,500 that I am unable to pay because I am unable to work.

This sudden illness came upon my family and me without warning and totally changed my life. As a former national soccer player, my spare time was divided between soccer, enjoying my craft as a DJ and sharing my life with my family and friends. I was not prepared for this turn in my life, but it is here and it has created a financial setback that was totally unexpected.

I am very grateful for my family and friends who have supported me throughout this time. However, there is still this huge financial need to be met. I am therefore asking for your assistance. Any amount would be greatly appreciated.
 

As I now spend part of my days building my faith through reading and meditating on Gods Word, I firmly believe that the days will come when I will again be able to kick the ball, play my music, slam the dominos and spend quality time with my family and friends.
