Save Shakespeare at Taconic

For the last 22 years Taconic High School has participated in the Fall Festival of Shakespeare. However, this coming year Taconic will not be a part of the festival, due to lack of funding. For the last 4 years Taconic has only paid $3,000 of the $13,000 each Massachuetts school must pay to be a part of the festival, because that is all Taconic could afford. Shakespeare and Co. can no longer afford to subsidize Taconic's participation at a reduced rate. We must do it all ourselves. Once students heard Taconic would not be at the festival next year they were heart broken. The Fall Festival means the world to the students who are in it. The students are able to take the works of Shakespeare and make it into something amazing. Within creating that they find something in themselves as well. They are changed for the better. They also build a bond with their cast and crew that can never be broken. They become a family and the theatre becomes a second home for them. They are able to have a new perspective on the world around them, and even get excited when they have to read Shakespeare in their English classes. Therefore, we need your help to keep this program alive at Taconic. Shakespeare and Co. needs a guarantee of the money by June 15th! Please don't let Taconic miss out on this one of a kind amazing program.
 
This is a completely safe site. The money will stay in gofundme until the Taconic Booster decides to withdraw the money and put it in the Taconic Sakespeare Booster Club banking account.
