Mom needs knee surgery

Yesterday, January 23rd, my mom came by to drop something off to me. While she was here her window in her car was smashed out and $2,000 was stolen out of her car. She had just left the bank to cash a check to pay for her knee surgery. Nothing else was taken except the envelope of cash which was sitting under her tablet. She hadn't planned to stay more than a few minutes which is why she didn't bring it in. 

She works at walmart as a cashier and had to borrow money from her 401k to pay for her knee surgery. They issued her a check and her personal bank wouldn't cash or deposit it so she had to go to Bank of America to cash it because that's who the check was issued from. 

We believe that someone followed her to my house from the bank since all they took was the cash and no other cars in my driveway were messed with. I plan to visit the bank today to see if there is any video footage of someone possibly following her as she left. 

We are hoping to try to recoup some of the money that was stolen so she can get the knee surgery that she really needs.
