Volunteer Medical Mission in Nicaragua!

Hi Everyone!
I have been fortunate enough to have been selected to go to a small village, La Dahlia, just outside of Managua, Nicaragua, for one week as part of my clinical rotations for Physician Assistant School. During this mission, I will be providing medical care for 5 days to patients who do not have care otherwise. This is an amazing opportunity for me, not only as a student, but as a person. This is going to be my second medical mission experience, and I have found that I am extremely passionate about global medicine and the impact I can make in these communities.
Unfortunately, these experiences are not included in our tuition and they do not come cheap. My first trip, which was in three villages near Puerto Plata, Dominican Republic, cost over $1,500 for the week-long experience. I was fortunate enough to have support from friends and family for that trip, during which time I was able to develop my passion for global health and public health, and plan on returning to these communities after graduation annually with HHI, the organization that runs the missions.
My experience in Nicaragua is going to be even more expensive, totaling over $1650. I am so fortunate for having been selected for this opportunity, but I am having a hard time getting the money together to support my trip. I hope that you will consider helping me get to Nicaragua this July, to provide medical care to these patients.
