Misty Noel Memorial Fund

Misty Marleen Noel was born in Phoenix, Arizona just minutes after her older sister, Kristy, on Valentines Day.  The identical twins were side by side for the next 36 years - and were each other's true soulmates. The twins were guided by their older sister Kila, who was always the one to give them a little smack to keep them in line.

Anyone who knew Misty, knew she was an athlete. Starting with t-ball, a passion for competition and a team environment only strengthened until she was a home town star on the Cougar's winning softball team. Performing as an all-star in the first base position, Misty would look across the diamond at her all-star third base sister. The twins mother, Rhonda was their biggest cheerleader. She was the one who got the girls to every practice and could be seen wearing red and white in the stands.  Though she earned constant recognition on the field, and in the paper, it was the teammates Misty really valued. Her teammates turned into life long friends who brought great joy and many wonderful memories to her life.

In July of 1998, sitting around a bonfire at Seats Dam, Misty met Jesse Kiene.  Surrounded by friends and family they married on August 7, 1999.  In 2005, the pair welcomed their first daughter, Jaselynn Annette. With Jesse at the wheel, the car ride home from the hospital with their tiny daughter was the most terrifying thing Misty had yet experienced. Three years later, the family of three became four with the addition of Joel Thomas. In April of last year, Misty and Jesse seperated where they then turned their focus on coparenting their two beautiful children. Misty loved watching the kids reel in their first catches on family fishing trips and following in her footsteps, playing a variety of sports.

As joyful as her younger years were, more recently Misty's life was plagued by tragedy.  With in a five year span Misty lost several loved ones including her father, Rick. But it was the lost of her twin sister Kristy that left a hole in Misty's heart that could never be filled. Following the loss of her second half, Misty joined an online support group called Twinless Twin which brought her comfort.

At the age of just 39, Misty passed away on March 23rd. Although she faced serious health issues, her untimely death was sudden and shocking for her family & friends and especially her two young children. Prior to her death Misty had several extensive medical procedures and spent many nights in the ER and ICU, and because of her young age Misty did not have a plan to cover the cost of her final arrangements.  These two factors have left a large financial burden on her family.

Your generous donation in Misty's honor will help cover the outstanding medical bills and final arrangements, estimated to be at least $10,000. Remaining funds will be put in a trust for Jaselynn and Joel, to help ensure they can have the life their mother wanted for them.

Jaselynn, Joel and fellow family members would like to invite you to Misty's Celebration of Life on April 15th from 1:00 - 4:00 at the Applegate Lodge in Applegate, Oregon. The kids have requested each person wear something purple as it was Misty's favorite color.  If you have photographs of Misty please send them in jpg format to her Uncle Chris via email at [email redacted] or through Dropbox at https://www.dropbox.com/ request/iYro7RX1eYuAyHAC7bEh. These photos will also be preserved for Jaselynn and Joel. More details about the event can be found on Facebook.
