For The Music

Donation protected
I have been composing Music since I was 12 years old. I made my  commitment to this work regardless of whether or not fame and fortune would come. I have been prolific in this endeavor throughout my entire life, until recently. In 2003, I purchased a high quality Digital Piano. However, after playing on the streets of Kansas City for 8 years in conditions ranging from sudden rain storms to 100 degree heat, touring in the winter in freezing weather, and after 15 years of constant use and 8 repairs, my digital Piano has simply become unusable.  In April of 2017, I injured the 1st finger of my right hand. This injury made me stop playing music altogether for over 7 months. When I resumed composing and playing music again in late November of that same year, (2017), I thought I was home free... I was not. I re-injured the same finger in January 2018.                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                               Thinking that this re-injury had been caused by playing Guitar, I simply focused all of my attention on playing Piano. What I didn't know, was that it was the Digital Piano that caused the finger to be re-injured. The Piano that I purchased in 2003 is known for having more and more resistance over time. At this point, there are keys that stick so badly, that I actually have to pull them up in order to strike them again. Additionally, the keys also require huge amounts of pressure to be pushed down, making me play harder and harder.  Simply put, I need a new Digital Piano and a few other pieces of equipment in order to continue my life's work.  I have had to leave bands and turn down work repeatedly since April 2017.  I am engaged in physical therapy and am taking copious amounts of supplements.
I have been disabled for nearly 10 years, which means that I live on an incredibly tight budget. This is why I have created this gofundme. I need the help of my Family and Friends at this time, for I am at a crossroads. No amount of Physical Therapy or Supplements will help me get this much needed Musical Equipment.
This is a bit time sensitive, because there are a few rather big gigs that have been offered to me in September of this year, (2018), that I really do not want to turn down. My finger is almost healed, so the only snag now is getting the Musical Equipment needed to continue working. Anyone who knows me, knows that I literally live to compose and play my Music. Contributing to and sharing  this gofundme by you, my Family and Friends,  means so much to me, that I am hardly able to describe it.
Any amount given towards this important cause, is greatly appreciated by me.

At this point, all I am able to do, is to profusely thank you in advance and afterwards.

Sincerely,
David
