Celebration of Life

I'M SHAVING MY HEAD OCTOBER 26th 2018

20 years ago on October 26th, my beautiful mummi, Cheryl, birthed me. Whoop whoop! But as it so be, this summer we lost my mum to lymphoma, (cancer of the lymph nodes) after she was diagnosed in January of 2017. My mummi fought for 18 months, and endured 8 failed chemo treatments. 8!!!!! After losing all her hair, constantly feeling sick, and staying in the hospital for weeks at a time each month, she never lost hope. Never. At one point she even had her cells re-engineered and put back inside her. :o I guess you could say she was one bad ass mutant warrior, among other things. Hahaha.

This day is not meant for sadness but celebration. To commemorate her life, I will be shaving my head to fundraise money to go towards the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society. Please take a moment of consideration to donate to the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society. They do amazing things for families, children and research.  It's our turn to not give up on hope. Together, let's find a cure!!

Also I’ve set a challenge of making one friendship bracelet a day for this past month in order to donate them to Duke Children’s Hospital. If anyone is willing to donate some bracelets for the cause please mail them to 04275 Turlington Hall, Raleigh, NC 27607.

We are in the process of planning an in-person celebration for the success of this fundraiser and to be surrounded by loved ones. Stay tuned for an update! I hope all of you will join me to celebrate this very special day for my mummi and in remembrance to anyone you’ve lost to cancer. Thank you from the bottom of my heart <3333
