<div>John has consistently been a selfless person who has helped so many over the years including myself. He is sadly now older and himself in need of help. He has always had a big giving heart and personality of kindness. That trait is hard to come by and believe me deserves our attention.

<div>As many of you know our system for helping the homeless is dysfunctional at best. One example of this is that the less financially equipped elderly like John without addiction problems, mental illness, or a prior arrest record are especially discarded and put on a 3-7 yr. waiting list to receive housing assistance. Sadly, some die and don’t make the wait.

<div>Amazingly, even though Mr. Clark actually served in Germany for 2 years between 1956-1958, he does not meet the requirements to IMMEDIATELY receive VA housing assistance because either he is not coming from a background of “homeless on the streets”, he has no addiction issues, or his military service was outside of wartime.

<div>Any help Mr.Clark receives will go directly to sustaining his much needed housing as his monthly social security stipend does not do enough to provide for this need.
