Chelsea Conquering Cancer

Donation protected
We ask for your prayers and financial help for Chelsea and her family: Zach (Husband) and Dean (5-year-old son) as they continue to ongoing battle of Chelsea’s aggressive colon and ovarian cancer diagnosis.

Chelsea was first diagnosed with stage 4 colon cancer in June 2019 during a planned surgery to remove what was though to be an obstruction. During surgery, an unexpected large cancerous tumor was found, and they discovered it had ruptured and spread inside her abdominal area. The surgeons removed all they could during this surgery, and Chelsea then started chemotherapy treatments to treat what could not be removed. During this treatment period of about 6 months the cancer spread more; causing a large ovarian tumor to develop. Chelsea was then scheduled to have a secondary surgery to remove all remaining colon. This surgery then led to an unplanned total hysterectomy after the surgeons discovered how far the cancer had continued to spread even while undergoing chemotherapy treatments.

The second surgery was completed in January 2020. Chelsea’s role in her family’s finances is crucial for her family’s living costs. Zach’s employment provides the very costly and vital insurance coverage costs needed during this time. Chelsea’s has continued to work full time throughout this battle, and despite the medical coverage and medical costs covered by Zach’s employment the medical expenses continue to pile up.

In March 2020, as we all know, COVID impacted us all. Zach had to take a leave of absence temporarily to protect Chelsea and her weakened immune system since he works in a hospital. He was able to return to work once protective procedures were implemented in his work environment. Zach and Chelsea are so very blessed that they have both been able to continue to maintain employment during this time. This would not have been possible without the vast amount of help they have received from family and their employers.

They are asking you for financial help at this time. After much prayer they feel this is what is needed to ease the financial stress on their family. They have a temporary break from treatments, but the medical bills from treatments and surgeries continue to increase. They also know she will need continued treatments for an unknown period of time to fight this battle. Any financial help you can provide to them would be helpful. We want to make the financial stress one less worry for Zach and Chelsea so they can focus on loving and raising their son together for as long as possible. They are so grateful for the outpouring of prayers they have received and felt during this long battle that continues. They have no doubt that God has led them to where they are now. God made things happen in their life just before this diagnosis that led them to sell their home, move to a temporary apartment that just happens to be closer to Chelsea’s treatments and Zach’s work, and provided much needed funds from the house sale that have helped financially until this point.

We have no doubt that God is leading this journey, and He will continue to help their family fight this battle!

their troubles. Psalm 34:17
