Payton needs our help!!!

As many of you already know Payton is suffering from Cystic Fibrosis a genetic dieses that effects the lungs and digestive system. There is no cure for Cystic Fibrosis. Every case of CF is different but all are heartbreaking.

In recent years Payton's overall health has been on the decline. Payton has been fighting a micro bacterium in her lungs for the last 3 years and MRSA in her lungs for the last 6 months resulting in at home IV therapies and countless hospital stays. Payton's daily life has been completely taken over by IV therapies, vest and nebulizer treatments and medication (currently Pay is on 26 different prescriptions and takes roughly 60 pills a day!)  Her case of Cystic Fibrosis leaves her little to no chance for her to just be a normal 8 year old. Payton hasn't been able to attend school for the past 2 years and the simple things that I take for granted like sending my kids to play dates and sleepovers or enrolling them in sports aren't on Pay's agenda, even if she is able to participate in some activities she has serious limitations. This is just a tiny example of how her life has been changed by her failing health in the last few years.

Her poor health is especially apparent during the winter months when the weather limits Payton's opportunities for swimming and playing outdoors. Payton's health is usually at its best when she is more active. Her level of increased activity in the summer keeps her hungry so she eats considerably more and the added calorie intake keeps her from losing weight. Weight and healthy lung function go hand in hand in Payton's case.

Recently Payton's Doctors have suggested that a change in location during the winter months to a place with a warmer, more humid climate where she can lead a more active lifestyle might help give her the fighting chance she needs to grow, thrive and battle CF!

After weighing all the options and researching different locations. Amber and Payton's doctors agreed that Hawaii would be a great option. Amber has put in countless hours going over information on all the islands, weighing the pros and cons of each and has come to the conclusion that the southern part of the island of Kauai would be the best fit for Payton.

Adam and Amber have done everything and exhausted all of their resources to improve their home in Sonora, Ca so that Payton can have a safe, clean and fun environment to live in during the summer months, but no one (minus the rich and famous) can afford to run two households in two different states. At this time family ties keep the Walker clan from moving to the islands full time. So there is really only one choice and that is for Amber to take Payton with little brother Ace in tow to Kauai for the winter to try and get Payton's health back on track. Leaving behind her hubby Adam and their two oldest children Avery and Max is something she does with a heavy heart. But what wouldn't someone do to try and save their child's life?

Amber and Adam's strength, courage and grace is something to be admired. They've never lost hope and they continue every day to fight and advocate for Payton, but there are just something's too big to do alone. This is why we, Payton's Auntie Jess and Uncle Nick are calling for your help! We want to see Payton live a long and joyous life but she needs our help and your help to give her that chance!

We love Payton with all of our hearts and we know there is a large network of caring and compassionate people out there that want to help Payton also!

So please help by donating or sharing this page with people who you think want to have a direct hand at the chance of giving a beautiful, funny, smart, thoughtful little girl her life back!

Hope, it's the only thing stronger than fear!
