I'm a 47 year old man who received a heart transplant at age 31. I am now in the process of trying to get a kidney transplant. My kidneys both failed because of the anti rejection meds that I have to take for my heart.
I have been out of work ( I work part time at a local grocery store to make ends meet) since December '13. I do have my Social Security, but it is tight. I drive a 2004 Gmc pick-up with 210000 miles on it and am beginning to have to put money into it to keep it on the road. My biggest concern is that something major will be needed and I won't have transportation to dialysis and other medical appointments. I'm not in a position where I can replace my truck and a friend suggested that I set a page here. I'm not very comfortable asking people for money, however I'm at a point where I don't have any other options. Any help at all would be appreciated.
