Paramus Triathlon for Patty

On June 22, 2014, I will be competing in the 2nd Annual Paramus Triathlon in honor of my wife, Patty Petrula. As you all know, Patty sustained a Stage 4 Brain Aneurysm and Stroke on February 20 and spent the next 25 days in Hackensack University Medical Center. Since her release on March 17, she has been on the road to recovery and improving each and every day. She is in Physical Therapy at Maven Sports Medicine 3-4 days a week and Maven is the mastermind behind the Paramus Tri. In January, Maven asked me to be on the Board and work the Triathlon but during a meeting on April 2nd, Dr. Jerry Yoo(Director of Clinical Services) asked if I would compete in the Tri in honor of Patty. I am not sure if I could have answered "YES" any quicker. Patty prior her to her "misfortune" was training to compete in this event so it only felt right. I am asking my family and friends to support me by attending this event on June 22 but more importantly, I am requesting donations to support the foundation that the Triathlon is raising money for and that is the Paramus Education Foundation.
