Dear Family and Friends,
As I am finishing up my junior year of college, I have been reflecting on past opportunities that have shaped my college career thus far, as well as future opportunities that will continue to help me grow. The Lord has been so faithful! He is doing wonderful things and I know that He will continue to be faithful to finish the work He has started in me. This summer, God has given me the opportunity to go to Nicaragua to be an example of His love to His children there.
On July 29th, I will be traveling with a group of fellow students from Anderson University, as well as professors and alumni (consisting of doctors, nurses, and pharmacists), on a medical mission trip for 9 days. While in Nicaragua, we will be providing outpatient medical care to people with little access to medical assistance, many of whom have never seen a doctor. As a student, I will have the opportunity to get hands on experience and work with the doctors, nurses, and pharmacists, learning about health care and what it means to show the love of God while doing so.
I am excited about the opportunity to serve and to minister, and I ask you to join me in ministry. First, and most importantly, I ask for your prayers going into this trip: that God will prepare our hearts, for safety traveling, for the people we will be serving, and that we are able to effectively communicate His love to each person we come in contact with. If you are able to give, any donation would be very much appreciated.
Thank you so much in advance for your support and your prayers!
“Each of you should use whatever gift you have received to serve others, as faithful stewards of God’s grace in its various forms.” -1 Peter 4:10
