Please Help Me Heal

Hello, friends (and friends I've yet to meet.)  My name is Jody Sinkway, and I really hate to ask, but I have been diagnosed with a (luckily, highly curable) form of cancer which requires surgery and a 4-week recovery.  I also may need chemo & radiation afterwards, but my surgeon hopes that will not be the case.  Because I am a self-employed musician and private music teacher, even just the surgery and recuperation period required means that I will lose significant income, as I do not get "sick pay" or "disability pay" as a freelancer.   If I have complications, or do require chemo/radiation, this may add to the expense and time off I need to take from work.  All of this presents a huge challenge to me financially, and will create a lot of stress that will not exactly be conducive to proper healing.  So, I am asking:  If you can find it in your heart and wallet to donate a few dollars to help me through this difficult phase in my life, I would appreciate it more than you could ever know.  Although I DO have health insurance (thanks to the ACA), I'm already falling behind because of copays and other medically necessary costs.  I want to access the life-saving treatment I am being offered, of course, but not end up in a huge amount of unrecoverable debt by doing so.  If you can help, all donations will be gladly and lovingly accepted -- and I promise you they will only go toward reimbursing my medical fees and covering a portion of my month's worth of lost wages (I am doing my best to get as much work ahead of time as I can in order to fund this time off myself, as well.)  My surgery is scheduled for late September and I will be out of work until mid to late October.  Thank you so very, very much for whatever you can spare.  I've never "begged" for money before, but I don't know what else to do.  Please help if you can.  God Bless.  JodyS
