Help with car repair bill

As uncomfortable as I feel asking for help this is a time that I could really use it. I was driving home from the gym on the interstate and was behind a F-250 construction truck. Right before I got off our exit a big piece of debris fell of their truck and hit the bottom of my car causing damage that I wasn’t prepared for. I immediately pulled off the exit to look at it. It was making a loud noise when you drive it and had some minor cosmetic damage. I literally just bought this car a month and a half ago. Upon getting it to the mechanic I was told the debris had tore the Catalytic converter and needs to be replaced. With other small damage to the bottom of the car the bill is running way above what I have or could afford. With Christmas being just a few days ago I know times are tough for a lot of people, but I don’t have much of a choice. I just don’t have money for this and can’t afford this high of a bill. This is my primary care for work/family so I can’t just leave it there until I can save up the money. Literally anything would help so much. Thank you!
