Hi, My name is Marvin Gonzalez and I have been battling kidney failure just shy of 3 years. It’s been a very difficult time for me not just physically but also mentally. Something I would never wish on anyone to have to go through. My life has been greatly impacted while going through this. While some days are good there are also those days that I don’t show or tell people how bad I feel. Dialysis has kept me alive but also has weakened my body. Having treatment 3 times a week for 4 hours each day for the last 3 days has taken a toll on my body. With the strength of the Lord,family and friends I been able to stay strong. I am very grateful for that.

For about the last 10 months a friend of mine has gone through the long and tedious exam process to become a living kidney donor to me. God has sent me and Angel to help save my life. She is a daughter, a mother, self business owner and now she’s my Angel. I will always be so grateful to her for stepping up and helping me.

The transplant is scheduled for

April 17th 2024. I am creating this GoFundMe to help cover expenses that have come up before the surgery and also that will come up during the recovery time after the transplant surgery for me and also for my donor. Recovery for my living donor will be about 2-4weeks and about 4 months for me.

Donations will help cover:

* Medical bill expenses my insurance don’t cover.

* Lost wages from time off from work

* Post surgery home care costs

* Food/groceries

* Utility bills

* Transpiration to and from doctor appointments
