We are For Families Like Us, a not-for-profit organization dedicated to helping kids in foster care become responsible members of the society. We understand the challenges for kids in foster care—our founder, grew up in foster care, moving from one home to another with only the clothes on his back, and all his belongings in a garbage bag. This scenario is real for most kids in foster care as less than 20 percent kids get to stay at a home for 5 years or more. In the absence of love and care, this could be a traumatic experience. By forming a community, we aspire to provide care, clothing, and other needs to make a child feel at home.
Following our founding in January 2017, we have been growing with several programs for kids in foster care. Clothing Closet is our most successful program, where children in foster care shop for clothing at no cost. Currently, we are operating from a storage facility.
We plan to relocate the service to a facility which is more accessible to all the kids in foster care. For growing the operations, we are seeking $5000. 100 percent of the funds are for managing the facility.

1 John 3:17
But whoever has this world’s goods, and sees his brother have need, and shuts up his heart of compassion from him, how dwells the love of God in him?
