Rich's Defibrillator

This is my big brother Rich and he is in need of a new defibrillator. Almost 12 yrs ago his heart was attacked by a disease and he developed Dialated Cardiomyopathy. He has beat this disease for the most part and lives a very active and healthy lifestyle, however, his heart has been damaged and he had to have a defibrillator/pace maker implanted in his chest.  In the past 2 yrs this defibrillator has saved his life twice.  He would not be alive without it.  He just found out that the one he has in his chest will no longer work after 4/20/14.  He has tried to get insurance through healthcare.gov for the past two months, but with no luck.  IF he can even get coverage he would have to wait a year before they would pay anything towards his surgery.  Our fear is that it will be too late.  The doctor has told him that he needs this now.  PLEASE find it in your heart to help him.  The amount I am asking for is a small percent of a very expensive surgery. He needs to have at least $30,000.00 before he can schedule this life saving procedure.
