Thank you for visiting our GoFundMe site! We're directing our guests to this page as we're not creating a wedding registry, but instead, asking you to help us start our family.

But first, a bit about us:

Our story begins in Cheney, Washington, a rural university town surrounded by a crusted landscape of basalt and granite formations and lakes. We were both students at Eastern Washington University--Dana an Education undergraduate, Jose a graduate student in the English department--when we, by chance, moved into houses next door to each other. No, this wasn't your typical "girl next door" story. Instead, it played out more like Moonrise Kingdom--we thought it would be a good idea to run away together. So we did.

In 2011 we moved from Seattle to Tucson, where Dana accepted a position as a middle school Special Education Teacher and Jose was admitted to the University of Arizona as a PhD student. After adjusting to the desert, surviving a few near-death experiences, and moving into a wonderful bungalow, we've found ourselves creating a magical life together.

Now, back to the reason we've directed you here. Instead of a traditional wedding registry. We've decided it's time to expand our family by adopting a child; the cost of adoption, however, is quite a financial burden. We've decided to forego a honeymoon (seriously, we're living it), and those really cool smart appliances and ask that you help us realize our dream of starting a family.
